GARD, Membership - 2006

The Georgian Respiratory Association became part of GARD in 2006. Professor Tamaz Maglakelidze, vice-president of the GRA, has been designated to be GARD Country coordinator for Georgia in 2007.

The 1st International Congress of the Georgian Respiratory Association, Sheraton Metekhi Palace, Tbilisi, May 31- June 2, 2007

The 1st International congress of the Georgian Respiratory Association was held in Tbilisi, Georgia from May 31 to June 2, 2007. The Congress has been accredited by EBAP for 12 European CME credits

V regional meeting, Rustavi, November, 2006

The fifth regional meeting was held in Rustavi (Kvemo Kartli Region) in November 11-12, 2006. 220 doctors attended this meeting. At the meeting was established GRA's new Kvemo Kartli Regional Branch. As a chief of the regional branch was elected Dr. Nana Khuchua.

IV regional meeting, Zugdidi, June 2006

The fourth regional meeting was held in Zugdidi-Khobi, (Samegrelo-Upper Svaneti region) in 23-24 June, 2006. 200 doctors attended this meeting. At the meeting was established GRA's new Samegrelo and Upper Svaneti regional branch. As a chief of the regional branch was elected Dr. Gocha Salia

International meetings, TTS Congress and FEMTOS Meeting, April 2006

The GRA has close and friendly relations with the Turkish Thoracic Society. We had been participating in the TTS Annual Congresses since 2002.

III regional meeting, Kutaisi, April, 2006

Third regional meeting was held in Kutaisi, (Imereti and Racha-Lechkhumi region) in 7-8 April, 2006. 340 doctors attended this meeting.

II regional meeting, Telavi, October 2005

Second regional meeting was held in Telavi, (Kakheti region) in 7-8 October 2005. 310 professional doctors  working in different fields in Kakheti, attended this meeting.

International meetings, TTS Congress and FEMTOS Meeting, April 2005

The GRA has close and friendly relations with the Turkish Thoracic Society. We had been participating in the TTS Annual Congresses since 2002. 
In April 2005 in Antalia, during the TTS 8-th Annual Congress, were established Forum of Eurasia and Mediterranean Thoracic Societies (FEMTOS). The aim of the Forum is to develop professional, scientific and social relations among national Thoracic societies of the countries in Eurasia and Mediterranean region

I regional meeting, Batumi, April 2005

First regional meeting  was held in Batumi (Ajara region). About 300 doctors attended this meeting

First joint meeting in Tskaltubo , October, 2004

First joint conference of Georgian Respiratory Association and Georgian Allergology and Clinical Immunology Association was held in Tskaltubo on 28 October 2004 at the National Institute of Allergology, AsthGeorgian Respiratory Associationma and Clinical Immunology of Georgian Scientific Academy. More then 100 doctors from Imereti Region attended the conference.
